Giddings Field, Fayette County, Texas is in the Austin Chalk field located in various counties surrounding the city of Giddings, Texas.
In February 1998, the Company acquired a 97% working interest in the Shade lease. The lease currently has three producing oil and natural gas wells with a daily production rate of approximately 120 Mcfe net to the Company. Oil and natural gas are produced from the Austin chalk formation. The Company will evaluate whether additional reserves can be developed by use of horizontal well technology.
